From her debut film 'Refugee' in 2000 to 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' in 2015, it has been one long and eventful journey for Kareena Kapoor Khan, AKA Bebo. Here's a look at how her hair colour preferences have evolved over the years.
A staunch believer in the adage 'less is more' as far as make-up goes, Kareena Kapoor Khan is known as a style icon in the country. Her peaches-and-cream complexion makes it easy for her to get away with all types of looks and hairstyles.
Playing It Safe
Kareena sported honey blond locks in her debut movie, and more or less stuck to it for a while before moving on to dual tones. Dark brown seemed to be Bebo's colour of choice in 2008, with black replacing it in 2009. Beyond some blond highlights and dark brown streaks, Kareena has played it safe on screen as well as off it.
Making The Right Choices
Given Kareena's skin tone, she seems to have made the right choice by sticking to blond and honey blond for her hair colours. These are shades that complement extremely fair skin, as also burgundy and auburn, which Bebo has been seen with a few times of late. Brighter shades like copper and red can look harsh against her skin tone.
Keeping It Simple
Since Bebo has a square face, highlights and lowlights look great on her which she has been constantly using to her advantage. Her stylist keeps the colour deeper at the temple and highlights at the cheekbones to bring in some softness. Kareena hasn't been too adventurous with hair colour since her initial days in the industry. Perhaps her boldest experiment with colour so far was the pink hair extensions that she sported in 'Ek Main Aur Ek Tu'!
