Vanessa Bruno : "hair colour can define your whole personality"

Today, we're talking to fashion designer Vanessa Bruno to find out a little more about this Parisian wonder who has created 12 new shades for the INOA hair colour range in collaboration with L'Oréal Professionnel.

So Vanessa, how important is hair colour in your life?

Colour has always been the basis of what I do, as a fashion designer and is quite important to me. Hair colour can define your personality entirely, and I'm living proof of that! A friend of mine advised me to go back to my baby blond and it's worked wonders for me - no one even knows that it isn't my natural colour. A good hair colour should do just that for you - make you look amazing without anyone guessing that it's not your natural colour.

Did you enjoy creating the new INOA Collection with L'Oréal Professionnel?

I loved it! Creating this 2017 Spring Summer INOA collection has been an exciting journey. My inspiration behind creating them was subtle and fashionable colours that I would love wearing, so I've created colours that would go well with every woman's style.

What inspired you? How did you choose the shades of the new INOA S/S 17 collection?

Natural colours were my go-to for this project: subtle colours reminiscent of sand, earth and wood. Retaining the natural aspect to the colours was my main focus, which is why I've chosen 12 shades of blonde and copper to match every skin tone and still show up on highlighted hair. Fashion and hair colour are very alike - you can redo them both every season, and I love the beauty of their versatility!

What is your favourite tone of the Spring Summer 17 INOA colour collection?

Hailey Baldwin's nude beige is easily my favourite look. It has that understated pop of colour that makes you wonder if there is any colour besides her natural one at all. A mixture of intense warm and cold hues, the final result is a very natural and flattering look.

What do the Vanessa Bruno and the L'Oréal Professionnel women have in common?

We have a great deal in common, I'd think! We're both hardworking and demanding since we look for the best in things - whether it's the quality of products or the expertise of service. We are always inquisitive about the latest trends and have our fingers on the pulse of fashion, and we're classy. A L'Oréal Professionnel woman's style is less flashy and more elegant and has that air of Frenchness that we all love.

Thanks, Vanessa, we can't wait to try out the new INOA colours for ourselves!
